Specialist Transport and Aerodromes Be part of a high performing team which is committed to making a real difference Huge exposure to multiple stakeholders - make a difference Perth based role About the role We are looking for a motivated and engaging individual to join our team in the role of Specialist Transport and Aerodromes, within the Facilities Division of Rio Tinto Iron Ore. The Facilities Division provides warehouse, flight and accommodation booking, village, town, and aerodrome services to all Iron Ore mine sites and townships throughout the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The management of the town, village and aerodrome services are facilitated through a long term contract partnership, with the facilities team supporting to maintain alignment and quality across the portfolio. Accountable for the governance of our contract provider's performance across Workforce Transport and Aerodromes Management; your demonstrated ability to engage, connect and positively influence key stakeholders at all organizational levels will play a critical part to the effectiveness in this role. This position is truly collaborative where you will work alongside our contract partner to ensure the compliance to aerodromes and mass transport Legislative and Rio Tinto Standards are met and our mining operations are not compromised. Truly an opportunity full of diversity and challenges, you will take the lead in portfolio improvement projects, including providing subject matter expertise to site based facilities teams. About you To be considered for this opportunity…. You will have demonstrated experience and a solid understanding of aerodrome operations, compliance and regulations. You will have strong understanding of Civil Aviation Safety Authority (CASA) standards You will have well developed stakeholder engagement, leadership and facilitation skills You will have demonstrated complex problem solving abilities Manual C Class driver's licence It will also be beneficial if you have: Understanding of the Western Australian Governments requirements for commercial drivers Front line management or other relevant leadership development qualifications Bachelor level degree Where you will be working You will be primarily based in Perth, working Monday to Friday. The role will require site travel from time-to-time in accordance with operational requirements.
