We are currently looking to recruit a Talent Acquisition Specialist - Indigenous Careers to focus on assisting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander People find meaningful employment within Qantas and in supporting our commitments within our Reconciliation Action Plan. The role will work closely with our Talent Acquisition Recruiters and Specialists who recruit across various portfolios for both our Corporate and our Operational business units. Your focus will be on the sourcing, screening and supporting talented Indigenous people in their employment journey for various positions and levels within the organisation. With your proactive, consultative approach, you will implement relevant strategies, ensuring the candidate experience is always positive and reinforces our strong employment brand. 

You’ll have –

  • Solid recruitment experience ideally from within a large, complex organisation
  • Experience within Indigenous careers will be highly regarded. However, much more important is a clearly demonstrated passion and commitment to helping create sustainable Indigenous careers
  • A natural ability to build rapport and trust in a team, with the ability to challenge the status-quo when required
  • Good problem-solving capability and ability to exercise sound judgement
  • Excellent written skills, coupled with well-developed accuracy and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to adopt a positive and flexible approach to change
