The opportunity

An opportunity for a people leader has become available to lead the business administration and support team within our Insurance for NSW business unit as a Service Manager. This role is a full-time, permanent position and will be based at either our Newcastle office or Parramatta office depending on the successful applicant

This important role is responsible for providing leadership, direction, and co-ordination of operational activities for a team of Assistant Case Managers within the IfNSW Workers Compensation business. Key priorities include achieving team objectives, improving efficiencies, working with other support teams to understand and mitigate errors, optimising service delivery and team performance, and undertaking improvement initiatives as required.

We are looking for a confident and capable professional, who has demonstrated leadership skills and staff development ability and takes pride in delivering exceptional customer experiences at every point of contact. We require a self-motivated individual who can maintain these levels of excellence through times of change and show resilience in the face of any challenge. You will possess the following experience and skills:

  • Experience leading a team – knowledge and experience in Workers Compensation and case management
  • Strong customer service and people skills
  • High degree of organisational and administrative skills, relevant administrative qualifications (not essential but desirable)
  • Previous experience in payroll or understanding wage entitlements (desirable)
  • Be able to effectively coach, mentor and develop team members
  • Someone who has the energy and attention to detail to be a supportive people leader
  • An aptitude for analysing information and making strategic decisions
