The opportunity

An exciting opportunity for a Group Culture, Diversity and Inclusion Manager has become available within QBE’s Group Human Resources function. Reporting to the Group Head of Culture, you will develop, monitor and implement group-wide frameworks, collaborating across the globe with regional teams, to embed target culture with a focus on health and wellbeing and creating a diverse and inclusive culture for the Group. This newly created role is one you can shape to make your own.

This is an exceptional opportunity to at a unique time when we are shaping our future culture and building a refreshed Global D&I strategy, as part of a Board-sponsored future focused culture review. You will play a key part in our cultural evolution by embedding our target state culture and be the key contact point for Group-wide D&I policies, frameworks and metrics working across other centres of excellence.

In this role, you will:

  • Embed QBE’s group-wide diversity and inclusion strategy and policy that reflects QBE’s commitment to creating and maintaining both a diverse workforce and an inclusive and safe workplace environment for all;
  • Embed QBE’s target state culture which is currently in design as part of our Board-sponsored culture program;
  • Collaborate across our regions to embed a refreshed set of Flex@QBE principles and help shape our future as we shift to hybrid working;
  • Refine, monitor and own the assessment and measurement criteria and framework to support the Executive team and Group Board in assessing the progress on Culture and D&I outcomes, including participation in external reporting eg Dow Jones Sustainability Index;
  • Collaborate with Internal Communications, People Data and Analytics, and regional leads to develop global group-wide narrative on culture and D&I;
  • Coordinate with other policy development work across the Culture and Talent Centres of Excellence.

Your story so far

  • Experience in people strategy, organisational development, psychology, consulting or generalist HR experience;
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, facilitation and communication skills to build relationships and trust at all levels;
  • Strong working knowledge of trends in people strategy, workforce trends and demographics along with analytic and reporting capability;
  • Prior experience in developing, contributing to, and implementing culture, diversity and inclusion strategy and frameworks;
  • Previous experience of working across complex organisational matrices and/or in global/group environments is valued but not necessary.
