About the role

Manager Finance and Functional Controlling is an integral member of the Finance team and is responsible for the delivery of financial planning and analysis, and providing financial leadership to the Operations Business Function.

Reporting to the Senior Manager Program Controlling, the Manager role takes carriage of forecasting and performance reporting processes on behalf of the operational business lines underwritten by the Airbus financial control framework. You will play a crucial role in:

  • Contribution to review, confirmation and challenging the Operative Plan, Forecasts and Cost @ Completion for existing business and for the development of new opportunities.
  • Providing the guidance as part of bid development to ensure a complete pricing, costing, risk and opportunity analysis process is run with sound financial foundations.
  • Contribution to the achievement of Business Plan targets
  • Promoting positive stakeholder engagement internally and externally
  • Providing financial governance, promoting Airbus Standards.

About you

The knowledge, skills and experience best suited to this role would include:

  • Degree qualification in Finance with strong technical skills in financial modelling, financial planning, ERP systems and data consolidation
  • Hold a membership of professional accounting body in particular ACA or CPA (or equivalent). 
  • Demonstrated experience in working with performance-based contracts and development of associated pricing strategies
  • Strong leadership skills, including a proven ability to build, motivate and drive innovation
  • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to identify pragmatic cost-saving opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrated ability to build long-lasting, collaborative relationships
