Based on continued success and reputation, our Industrial Power team has two new opportunities for a Senior Industrial/Power Systems Engineer to join our Perth team.

Our core team is located in Perth, with local presence within each of our regional offices.

The role will primarily focus on engineering high quality solutions for our valued clients. The role promotes a balance of leadership, client interaction, engineering and training.

The Industrial Power team supports our National reach, interacting with many different clients, offering a diverse range of project opportunities. The role is predominately office based, however, occasional travel will be required for project and client needs, in coordination with your personal situation.

This position will suit an ambitious engineer who enjoys working in teams and helping clients to realise their project goals.

What will the role involve?

Leading the design of unique and diverse engineering projects.
Leadership and training of younger engineers.
Reporting and written communication.
Engineering project management.
Client and contractor interface.
Building client relationships.
Undertaking Power Systems Studies.
Network Modelling (steady state and dynamic).

What are we looking for in a candidate?

Australian-recognised degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification deemed to be suitable for Engineers Australia membership as a Professional Engineer.
Project team leading and client consultation experience.
Experience with software platforms including SKM PowerTools, ETAP, DIgSILINT, SAfeGrid or similar.
5+ years' industry experience (preferred).
Full working rights (Australian citizen preferred).
Working towards Chartered Engineer status.
Very disciplined in undertaking quality assurance activities to ensure delivery excellence.
Demonstrable high-quality work ethics
Strong report writing skills to prepare and furnish reports/drawings
Substantial experience in design of high voltage distribution and/or transmission protection systems.
Strong technical knowledge of power systems, protection principles and their operations.
Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) and a demonstrated ability to develop technical solutions.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to manage many competing priorities.
Ability to work in a team environment, collaborate and influence change.
Strong organisational and time management skills
Experience with High Voltage testing and commissioning.
Experience in Conceptual/Feasibility Study and Design of electrical and industrial infrastructure.
