The Opportunity:

We have a very exciting opportunity for a strategically focused senior Health and Safety professional to join our DRA team. The key focus of the role will be the co-ordination and implementation of the HSE Strategy for the APAC Region, together with regular reporting to the leadership team and business. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Develop HSE strategy that aligns with DRA Global HSE strategic direction.
  • Align HSE strategies to the APAC operational strategy.
  • Provide HSE leadership and coaching to key operational leaders, and senior project personnel.
  • Communicate and influence HSE Strategy to all HSE personnel, and ensure all processes are aligned.
  • Preparation of regular and ad hoc HSE reporting as required at project, regional and global level. Continuous improvement of HSE reporting to provide meaningful HSE feedback to the business.
  • Generate leading and lagging insight from your reporting function that leads to change and continuous improvement of the safety systems
  • Provide regular ad hoc updates to the leadership team on legislative changes, relevant case law or lessons learned from investigations.

About you:

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in Health, Safety & Environment role.
  • Minimum 5 years experience in leading Health, Safety & Environment teams.
  • Strong strategic development and deployment capabilities.
  • Experience working with an engineering, resources, mining, aviation or heavy transport environment.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Health, Safety & Environment or other degree qualifications will be considered.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislative requirements, and the practical application in the work environment.
