Position Summary

We are currently seeking an experienced Reporting Technician professional for a fixed term contract based in Sale, Victoria, Australia.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Ensuring that the inspection has been carried out within the parameters of the applicable specification and procedures
  • Evaluating results of the test in accordance with applicable specifications / procedures
  • Producing clear and concise reports detailing the methods used and results of the inspection
  • Ensuring any limitations of the inspection or deviations from the work scope are clearly documented and communicated to the Client / Coordinator at the earliest opportunity
Applicants Should Offer The Following Skills And Experience
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in operational environments as a Technician
  • Proven experience in all qualified testing methods
  • Have a general knowledge of other NDT methods, product manufacturing and inspection technology used by NDT companies
  • Experience in completing NDT worksheets and reports
  • Knowledge of the Oil & Gas Industry including related Legislation, Acts and Regulations, Industry Standards and Codes
  • Knowledge of NATA requirements
  • Ability to maintain effectiveness when experiencing major changes in work tasks/environment
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
  • Sound computer skills
  • Knowledge of safety standards (e.g. Step Back 5x5, JSEA, HSEQ systems etc.)


Candidates should hold the minimum PCN Level 2 or equivalent ISO 9712 certifications with proven experience in the following:
  • Radiographic Testing (RT)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)
  • Victorian Radiation Safety License
  • Liquid Penetrant (PT)
  • Magnetic Particle (MT)

  • Willingness to apply all professional qualifications across multiple methods to work effectively according to specifications and best technical practice
  • Willingness to travel across multiple sites within Victoria (as needed)
  • High attention to detail
