Job Description
Our client located in the Cassowary Coast Region, North Queensland is seekingthe services of an experienced Agricultural Pilot to deliver aerial application services usingfixed wing aircraft.
General Purpose and Scope of Position:
The pilot role is responsible for the safe operation of fixed wing aircraft in the aerialapplication of plant protection, seed and nutrition products on agricultural crops. Anunderstanding of plant protection, the storage and handling of chemicals, fertilizer andseed is a strong plus.
This is a position for a person who will enjoy living in Regional Queensland and who has agood understanding of the nature of agricultural business operations.
Key Skills and Abilities Include:
Commercial Pilot License with an Aerial Application Rating. Please do not apply if you donot have an Aerial Application Rating.

Other requirements:

• First Aid Certificate
• Queensland Chemical Licence or ability to obtain a license
• Key Personal Attributes Include:
• Requires excellent interpersonal and strong communication skills (verbal, written and utilising allmedia for interaction with clients and fellow employees).
• Ability to maintain positive and professional working relationships.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail along with ability to prioritise multipleassignments.
• Ability to read, write and speak English fluently.
• Specific Responsibilities:
• Application of seed, fertilizer and plant protection products
• Handle and store all chemical containers
• Comply with label requirements and restrictions for aerial application of pesticides
• Process work orders against scheduled dates and time
• Comply with all applicable laws and regulations at all times
• Follow Company Standard Operations Manual for Application Operations
• Check each field for hazards (towers, power lines, wires, irrigation pipes and vent pipes) before eachapplication begins
• Ensure any equipment deficiencies has been addressed and reported to the Chief Pilot and Directorof the Company
• Participate in blood testing and/or alcohol testing when scheduled
• Maintain and care of aircraft according to generally- accepted maintenance practices

Remuneration
An annualised salary with a base wage of $41,600 per year; Plus10% of aircraft revenue for flying services; Plus superannuation.
The average annualised salary of the company’s pilots for the past year topped $79k.
