About the role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technical Lead Engineering Projects to join our Brisbane based team in a permanent full time opportunity. This role is responsible for providing interface and resource management between the Programs, Support and Services and Engineering. You will provide the coordination of competent engineering resources to enable service delivery excellence in a Systems Engineering framework of the assigned engineering offers, tasks and projects.

Specifically you will

  • Ensure adequate resource forecasting and coordination, engineering milestones/progress and budget tracking to carry out the required tasks of the customer for assigned engineering offers, tasks and projects
  • Ensure the adequate prioritisation of engineering activities and that progress and any delays to tasks are adequately managed and communicated to all stakeholders
  • Ensuring the application of correct Systems Engineering framework of the assigned engineering offers, design tasks and projects.
  • Be an interfaces with the Engineering Functional Managers to ensure the forecast resources (numbers and competency) are known and available.

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have well developed interpersonal skills, are someone who is passionate and determined, able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines in an environment of continuous improvement. The skills and experience best suited to this role:

  • Previous experience in engineering, configuration and logistics management (including design and engineering management roles) with experience in Systems Engineering
  • Experience in developing engineering scope , schedule and cost estimates for offers
  • Ability to lead and manage and motivate the performance of large teams of technical personnel providing product development/product support services
  • Knowledge of and experience in applying key technical regulations 
  • Ability to summarise, synthesise and speak authoritatively on complex topics to stakeholders at all levels
