JOB DESCRIPTION

This role is an amazing opportunity to work within National Parks and Wildlife Service in our ParkAir division as a Project Officer. This is the ideal role if you have a genuine interest in contributing to the conservation of the natural and cultural heritage values of parks.

  • Located in Bankstown
  • Temporary Full Time for up to 24 months
  • Starting salary of $97,443.00 (17% loading) + super


About The Role

Provides diverse project management and related support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, implementing and monitoring project plans.

The Essential Criteria Of The Role

  • Lead and prepare the relevant data and information required for input into annual business planning demand analysis and asset management planning.
  • Support procurement activities, including prepare and review contracts for assets, maintenance and services required for the unit’s operations.
  • Lead the data, systems and reporting requirements relevant to the unit’s aviation operations, including personnel, aircraft flight hours, finance, safety and asset planning.
  • Provide support to the Manager Flight Business Service to prepare papers and briefs for decision and information, including the NPWS Aviation Steering Committee, ParkAir Safety Meetings and ParkAir Finance Meetings, acting as secretariat function when required.
  • Facilitating open communication and discussion between internal and external stakeholders, using feedback to assess and promote understanding of the need for future changes in services, products and systems.
  • Manage small to medium-sized projects with oversight from the Manager Flight Business Services.
  • Undertake support roles within the Flight Unit to assist in managing aircraft bookings, client communications, records management and general administration.
  • Model the ParkAir safety and team culture working collaboratively with pilots, crewpersons and key personnel to deliver the unit’s priorities.
