JOB DESCRIPTION

The Senior Audit and Risk Coordinator is responsible for making a significant contribution to DEW's governance by leading, developing, and managing DEW's strategy for risk, audit and business continuity management. The Senior Audit and Risk Coordinator will develop and implement effective risk and audit frameworks, policies, procedures and systems in order to successfully identify and treat risks across the Department. The Senior Audit and Risk Coordinator will influence the Agency’s risk management culture to support proactive and informed decision making. They will be responsible for providing a strategic advice and support service to DEW Executive, Business Units and Regions, for the achievement of agreed objectives on risk and audit matters.

Contract term up to 25 February 2022.

Special Conditions

  • Experience with enterprise risk management framework and model (ERM) is highly desirable.
  • May be required to participate in fire management and associated duties.
  • A current class “C” driver’s licence and willingness and ability to safely operate a 4wd is essential.
  • Inter and intrastate and remote area travel is required, including travel in light aircraft.
  • A current First Aid Certificate is essential.
  • May be required to undertake intra or interstate travel and work outside of the normal hours of work.
  • This role has been designated as a Position of Trust pursuant to the standards required in the Australian Government Protective Security Policy Framework. By applying for this role you consent to being screened under the process of obtaining a National Police Clearance (NPC), and to the Department requiring you to obtain an NPC.


Salary

ASO7 $101,859 minimum - $110,107 maximum p.a.
