Your new role
As the Technical Specialist you will be responsible for providing a professional technical and management capability

Key Responsibilities

  • Represents the company as the Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EE) Subject Matter Expert with regulatory authorities and related governmental and other organisations
  • Responsible for defining the EE skills and competencies required by the business;
  • Demonstrate the professionalism, independence, integrity and ethics required of the role;
  • Provides mentoring and support to other members of the engineering team;
  • Conducts and is responsible for engineering activities including product safety, design, analysis, systems engineering, ILS, trials and validation and verification;
  • Plans work packages and projects for work scope, schedule, cost and resourcing;Co-ordinates, supervises and reviews work of other professional and technical staff;
  • Responsible for the certification to the customer of all products as authorised by the Chief Engineer; and
  • Responsible for timely delivery of engineering work packages to time and requirement


What you'll need to succeed

  • 10+ years of experience in similar
  • Previous defence experience highly desirable
  • Degree qualified in electrical or electronics engineering
  • Have, or the ability to obtain, an Australian Defence Security Clearance
  • Experience in electrical or electronics engineering in an automotive, aerospace or marine environment
  • Experience in a Defence environment preferred but not essential
  • Experience in Systems Engineering processes and methodology an advantage
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
