Accountant

Full time, $60,000 plus superannuation

The Role  

Due to our rapid growth in recent years, Foodlink Australia is looking for an Accountant who is looking to take that extra career step and gain experience working in a fast-based environment with tangible rewards. We are looking for someone who is dedicated to providing accurate, timely, compliant and transparent financial information, analysis and support to our business decision making.

This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Excellent English skills
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field
  • Minimum of 1 year of work experience
  • Understanding of accounting systems preferred
  • Strong time management skills

Responsibilities include:

  • Assisting in formulating budgetary and accounting policies
  • Preparing financial statements for presentation to directors and upper management as well as statutory bodies
  • Examining operating costs and the organisations' income and expenditure
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and yearly financial reports including budget performance, financial statements and interim grant financial reporting.
  • Providing assurance about the accuracy of information contained in financial reports and their compliance with statutory requirements
  • Liaising with financial institutions and brokers to establish funds management arrangements
  • Introducing and maintaining accounting systems, and advising on the selection and application of computer-based accounting systems
  • Perform the processing and recording of accounts payable transactions and guarantee that all invoices and staff reimbursements are paid correctly and in accord with Finance guidelines and procedures
