JOB DESCRIPTION

The opportunity

Boeing Defence Australia is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to work as part of a dynamic, fast-paced team that supports the delivery of world-leading defence products and services to the Australian Defence Force. The role will be based at RAAF Base Amberley.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, analyse, review and maintain resource forecasts and/or Estimates at Completion (EACs) at the control account, budget, function level; financial forecasts and/or financial EACs at the contract, program, and business unit or enterprise level.
  • Project account responsibilities such as invoicing, month end reporting, intercompany reporting and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Develop performance reports and initiate variance analyses to provide understanding of operational and financial performance to relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyse, interpret, prepare and reconcile financial information. Prepare standard and ad hoc internal and external financial reports for management and present to internal and external stakeholders where required
  • Develop, review, analyse and maintain cost and/or schedule performance measurement baselines, including earned value and variance analyses and communicate cost and/or schedule trends.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Experience in Project Earned Value/Performance Management Systems in a commercial environment, preferably Defence industry
  • Ideally have experience in project management software such as Open Plan Professional and Cobra.
  • Strong conceptual and analytical skills, innovative problem solving
  • Intermediate to Advanced level skills in Microsoft Excel.
  • Relevant Business degree is desirable
