About the Opportunity

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Aircraft Support Equipment Field Representative to demonstrate their expertise on the interesting F-35 aircraft program. This rewarding position will be report to the Senior Maintenance Manager, will be part of an inclusive and supportive team, and will be offered on a permanent and full time basis.


This opportunity will see you:

  • Provide technical guidance and logistics support to ensure the mission capability of the F-35 program and the effective management of the unique support equipment for the F-35 depot
  • Provide leadership, support and assign tasking to the support equipment team
  • Lead and manage the operations within the support equipment function for the F-35 depot
  • Utilise the electronic management systems to manage the maintenance inventory and the depot unique support equipment
  • Plan and forecast maintenance requirements
  • Liaise and be the point of contact for the customer for program support equipment
  • Carry out support equipment technical tasks
  • Lead by example as a role model of Safety, Health and Environment (SH&E) principles
  • Manage the tool store elements of the depot to ensure serviceability, availability and regulatory requirements of all tooling and new tooling capability requirements
  • Collaborate with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, maintaining effective relationships
  • Provide program reporting and analysis to the program team

About you

As an ideal applicant for this opportunity, you’ll have:

  • Extensive experience as a heavy vehicle diesel mechanic, aircraft maintenance engineer or a similar trade
  • Manufacturing/technical trades operations leadership experience and maintenance coordination experience
  • Trade qualified heavy vehicle diesel mechanic, or aircraft maintenance engineer or a similar trade qualification
  • People leadership experience with a proven ability to develop and inspire teams
  • Working knowledge of planning and scheduling principles
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills

Whilst not essential, Defence industry experience will be highly regarded.
