Job Description

The purpose of the Program Scheduler is to plan, maintain, analyze and report on the Land 2072 Phase 3 Performance Measurement Baseline. The Program Scheduler will perform the planning and maintenance of the program execution cornerstones of budget, schedule and risk in conjunction with other members of the Project Controls Team and Program IPT Leads. They will maintain the progress measurement system for the Program including analysis and reports; optimize use of PC tools including Open Plan Professional and COBRA as well as provide support to the PC Manager in the establishment of program measurement tools and reporting functions. They will also provide support and assistance to the Program IPT Leads in schedule management, status and variance reporting.

Key Accountabilities

  • Optimize use of Open Plan Professional in development and maintenance of the Program Contract Master Schedule (CMS).
  • Maintain the Performance Measurement Baseline and adhere to Change Control requirements.
  • Provide timely and accurate advice and reports to the Program Controls Manager and Program IPT Leads on schedule performance and analysis.
  • Responsible for the monthly output of formal Earned Value Management reporting and analysis in collaboration with the Program Accountant.
  • Provide assistance to the Program Controls Manager in the planning and preparation of the CoA IBR.
  • Provide support and specific tools to the Program IPT’s for the purpose of project planning, reporting and progress measurement.
  • Responsible for collation of the monthly CoA CMS deliverables.
  • Provide support to the maintenance of the Program Risk Register.
  • Accountable for establishing and maintaining the Contract Master Schedule.
  • Accountable for controlling and maintaining the Baseline Control Register.
  • Accountable for the scheduling of Program risks and assistance in developing risk mitigation plans.
  • Accountable for the on time conduct of the weekly and monthly status cycles.
  • Accountable for the completion of weekly and monthly schedule variance analysis
  • Accountable for the Rolling Wave Planning activities with Program IPT Leads; inclusive of Work Package code allocations.
  • Accountable for the output of weekly and monthly EVM; inclusive of PMR inputs.
  • Accountable for adherence to and maintenance of the Program Earned Value Management.
Requirements
  • Open Plan Professional training accreditation.
  • 4 years+ scheduling experience in large projects.
  • 2 years+ experience in managing a program in Open Plan Professional.
  • 2 years+ experience in the management of an Earned Value Management System.
Highly Desirable
  • Tertiary Qualifications in Project Management or a similar discipline.
  • ASDEFCON contract experience.
  • 2 years+ experience in the Defence Sector
  • 2 years+ experience in the use of COBRA
