The opportunity:

Are you looking for a long-term role where you can sink your teeth into meaningful work? I have a great contract that could be exactly what you need! This is a seven month contract for a Digital and Social Media Advisor. Work for a value aligned organisation that is dedicated to providing safe, secure, efficient and environmentally responsible services to the aviation industry.

Build and maintain the agency's digital presence, including oversight of the website, social media and other online component of their content communication strategy. You are a passionate advocate for new media and communications technologies and taking a "digital first" approach to communicating with key audience segments.

What will you need to deliver?

  • Deliver on digital communication and media strategy including websites, social media and other electronic content and communication
  • Ensure that communications and branding efforts are consistent by providing strategic advice to colleagues as required
  • Design and execute digital initiatives and campaigns
  • Conceptualising and designing digital content that is meaningful and useful to target audiences. This includes repurposing key organisational documents such as the Corporate Plan and Annual Report into high-quality digital content
  • Manage and maintain the existing corporate and external website
  • Lead social media strategy, including day-to-day posting and advertising
  • Managing external agencies and consultants as required
  • Establish and maintain strong working relationships across the organisation

About you:

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing and/or communications or similar with minimum 5 years' experience in communications preferred
  • Demonstrated experience managing and executing digital and social media strategy that builds an engaged and expanding audience
  • Proficient in Google Analytics, Adobe Creative Suite, Wordpress CMS
  • Able to optimise content and understanding of SEO
  • Understanding of, and ability to use, social media management platforms
  • Problem solving mindset
  • Experience in the not for profit/government sector would be highly regarded
