The Organisation -

Boeing Defence Australia's Aerospace Engineering & Production Capability provides a range of modification, production, repair and continuing airworthiness services to support Defence's Boeing-managed aircraft fleets and complex communication systems. We work hand-in-hand with our customers to develop and deliver critical capabilities to support their mission now and into the future.

The opportunity:

We are seeking a talented Maintenance Requirement Determination (MRD) Team Leader to support the Australian Army CH-47F and S-70A-9 aircraft. As a key member of our Aerospace Engineering and Production Capability, you will support the customer in ensuring continuing airworthiness of the aircraft under the Defence Airworthiness Safety Regulations (DASR).

The role is based at based at Gallipoli Barracks (Enoggera Barracks), QLD.

As an MRD Team Lead you will:

  • Coordination of MRD outcomes for the Boeing CH-47F and Sikorsky S-70A-9 aircraft;
  • Act as the Maintenance Program Approval Employee (MPAE);
  • Perform in the role of MRD Team Leader;
  • Perform the duties of CAMM2 Engineer and Venue Manager;
  • Management of CAMM2 Audits;
  • Management of the Weapon System Databases in OmegaPS; and
  • Process, review and make recommendations on artefacts to execute the Army Aviation Reliability Program.



  • Trade qualification as an Avionics or Aircraft Technician for a minimum of two years;
  • Demonstrable experience as an MRD Practitioner and Team Leader; and
  • CAMM2 Venue Management experience for a minimum of one year.
  • Completion of the following courses:
  • Defence Maintenance Requirements Determination Practitioner Course;
  • Omega PS User Course (or sufficient proficiency in using OmegaPS);
  • CAMM2 SPO Configuration Manager Course (or sufficient proficiency in using the AEO parts of CAMM2).

Applicants must be Australian Citizens and have the ability to obtain and maintain a Government (Baseline) security clearance.


    • CH-47D/F and/or S-70A-9 Type course.
  • Completion of the DASR-M Practitioners course.
  • Defence Reliability Management Course (DEFRELMAN).
