This is an exciting opportunity within the Australasia region for an Operations Analyst to be part of a global, market leading aviation services company.

Position Summary

Reporting directly to the Managing Director, based in either Mascot, Sydney or at our Support Office in Newstead, Brisbane, the position of Operations Analyst is responsible for the review of our operations and performance data, identifying trends and development of forecasts. You will make recommendations and help develop and implement improvement strategies and best business practices. The role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior stakeholders in a dynamic and highly successful organisation to ensure optimal performance and achieve commercial success.

Main Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Driving operational efficiency and performance through in-depth review and analytics of data;
  • Preparing reports, identifying variances and trends and highlighting areas of improvement;
  • Researching and resolving problems whilst maintaining operational integrity, efficiency and compliance;
  • Ensuring ongoing data integrity, addressing any data inconsistencies appropriately;
  • Lead special projects as determined by analytical findings and recommendations both by yourself and the business.

Experience and Competencies

  • Ideally you will have 1-3 years' experience in an analytical role ideally within the aviation (preferred) or similar industry;
  • Demonstrated successful experience supporting change initiatives;
  • Ability to analyse processes and procedure, identifying inefficiencies and creating improvement strategies to achieve best practice;
  • A desire to improve existing analysis tools and reporting;
  • Strong executive presence and ability to communicate clearly to operational and non-operational personnel;
  • Strong planning skills supported by the ability to consult with and engage stakeholders within the business;
  • Analytical mindset and practical problem-solving skills;
  • Advanced Excel and experience with Web based analytics tools;
  • Advanced analytical skills inclusive of data mining, data modelling, extractions and profiling;
  • Whilst not mandatory, tertiary or other relevant qualifications are desirable.
