The Manager, Job Evaluation & Compliance is responsible for driving management and compliance of the job evaluation function across Qantas Group companies and ensures ongoing assurance and best practice approach to Job Evaluation and appropriate methodologies. The position will manage role classification risk and partner with the People Community to ensure collaboration and ensure that initiatives are aligned with the strategic goals of People Services.

Your overall responsibilities will be to manage the day-to-day operations of the job evaluation function ensuring timeliness, consistency, quality and compliance with relevant industrial instruments and remuneration frameworks. You’ll also review current Job Evaluation processes against best practice and implement solutions to address business needs and provide strategic and innovative thought into a best practice approach to conducting Job evaluations whilst ensuring consistency and quality of outcomes for the business.

To be considered for this role, you’ll have –

  • Training and relevant experience in applying Hay Point methodology and conducting job evaluations.

  • Experience leading and coaching a team.

  • Knowledge of the Qantas Executive Remuneration Framework and strategy or a similar equivalent.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong research and analytical skills.

  • Excellent relationship management skills and the ability to relate to people at all levels of the organisation.

  • Continuous improvement and innovative mindset.

  • Driven to identify and implement process improvements

  • Bachelor degree is preferred in Human Resources or related discipline e.g. Industrial Relations, Business, Law.

  • 7+ years of HR experience, including specific experience in job evaluations/grading.
