JETS Transport Express is the premium road transport provider to the aviation industry. Reporting to the Regional Customer & Business Manager, the Operations Supervisor coordinates all local freight deliveries and collections ensuring all safety and compliance measures are adhered to. This role is crucial to the day-to-day management of staff and operations including customer liaison and escalation. You will also be responsible for fatigue management of staff and playing an active lead in staff engagement toolbox talks.

This is a rotating shift position required to work various shifts during the week and on weekends. This role manages approximately 5 local staff per shift and to ensure we meet our operational requirements, the Supervisor will play a part in operations.

You’ll have:

  • Ability to multitask and balance multiple activities including freight pick up / staff utilisation / trucks and trailer movements.

  • Meet reporting targets and ensure safety and compliance is adhered to

  • Experience managing staff on a day to day basis

  • Operational experience in a similar industry (e.g. Aviation, transport, rail, mining)

  • A valid HC and Forklift licence (or willing to obtain)

  • Demonstrated commitment to managing a safe workplace

  • Ability to work under pressure and remain calm

  • Customer focused

  • High level of personal presentation and behaviour

  • Commitment to teamwork, innovative and proactive style.

  • Flexibility to work a 7 day rotating shift roster

  • Safety as your number one priority
