The opportunity

Elders Insurance, part of the QBE Group, operates an Agency Network distributing general insurance products and is one of Australia's largest regional and rural insurance providers

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an experience Underwriter to join our Elders Underwriting Team based in Adelaide on a permanent full-time basis.

This is a unique opportunity to work within a small professional underwriting team, and obtain underwriting experience and exposure, with a portfolio driven for growth and profitability through excellent customer service and delivering high service standards to our franchised Agency across Australia.

  • Underwrite new business, renewals and endorsements for the Elders Agency Network in line with agreed service standards
  • Proactively work with the Elders Regional Underwriting and GSSC Teams, to provide QBE Australia's products & services and company image to Elders agents and their Customers
  • Establish and develop good working relationships with all Elders Agents for the purpose of developing, then monitoring compliant and profitable business solutions
  • Respond to customer enquiries in a timely and professional manner
  • Work to and exceed the Service Standards as agreed within the Elders Insurance Service Charter
  • Provide support and assistance to other Elders Insurance Product and Underwriting Teams as required
