Digital Marketing Strategist – HR Learning Platform

Location: Sydney

Type: 6 month contract – part-time (3 days)

The opportunity

One of QBE’s strategic priorities is accelerating our Talent Strategy and continuing to embed our QBE DNA and HR have been evolving as a function to support this transformation globally.

We have a newly created role within our Group HR Service Design and Delivery team for a Digital Marketing Strategist to drive results and a learning culture through digital marketing and continuously improve our digital strategy and execution for QBE’s Learning experience platform. The Digital Marketing Strategist will lead the creation of integrated digital experiences to drive awareness and demand along the learner journey for our employees including execution on the marketing strategy. You will work with content, digital, and social teams, as well as key partners across QBE to develop an integrated strategy that engages the target audience and delivers marketing objectives aligned to the learners’ journey.


Further responsibilities include:

  • Design the digital journey across content, assets and tactics, including SEO, SEM, both on domain and off domain
  • Define a holistic digital marketing strategy based on value proposition and coordinate the integration across all channels
  • Create and keep program roadmaps up to date and ensure on-time delivery
  • Develop and execute highly targeted, integrated multi-channel awareness generation campaigns with a focus on digital channels, in partnership with key stakeholders such as Learning Leads, Business Leads and Internal Comms
  • Establish and manage strong metrics, templates and governance for digital marketing programs alongside the Business Lead and Product Owner
  • Influence and build a cohesive and high performing virtual learning community globally
  • Be a strong contributor to the Group Talent, Leadership and Enterprise Learning team, role modelling the QBE DNA

Your story so far

  • Strong knowledge of user-centered design
  • Expert understanding of web metrics, digital media testing methodology and optimisation strategies
  • Ability to articulate and present ideas based on sound user experience and interaction design principles
  • Demonstrated experience increasing traffic to - and adoption of – an internal digital platform (Learning platform favourable)
  • Knowledge of business learning strategies and digital learning platforms
  • Exceptional analytical and creative problem-solving skills
  • Strong written communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to closely collaborate as a part of a team comprised of business, creative and technical types
  • Excellent interpersonal and communications skills to build relationships across all levels of the organisation
