We are currently seeking an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Manager to join our (Major Service Provider) MSP division in Canberra.

Our MSP Division, is part of a consortium of independent, technical partners, which include Nova Systems and PwC; supported by a range of specialist SMEs. We share and support Defence’s commitment to growing and improving Australia’s military capability. We do this by delivering large, long term, integrated work packages across the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG). In doing so we work closely with both uniformed and public service staff to help plan the acquisition and support of advanced military systems and equipment through the provision of rigorous analysis, advice and assurance; we relish solving the unique and challenging problems this work entails.

By joining us you could be working on any of the following work packages; Communication Systems Branch, Explosive Materiel Branch (EMB), Intelligence, Surveillance, Reconnaissance and Electronic Warfare Branch (ISREW), Aerospace Surveillance and Response Branch (ASR), Air Training and Aviation Common System Program Office (ATACSPO), Land Services Division (LSD).

For those new to the Defence sector, our unique in-house training program and ongoing support from our Principle ILS Consultants, will provide you with accelerated learning and enable you to quickly integrate into one of the most exciting and dynamic areas of Defence.

About the Role

QinetiQ is one of only four Major Service Providers (MSP) to the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG).

The ILS consultant will work within a multidisciplinary team as a valued member of the QinetiQ Operations and Delivery team, focused on the delivery of exceptional customer outcomes and support across aspects ofILS to assist acquisition/integration of new capability into CASG.

As an ILS Professional in QinetiQ you will:
Be responsible for completing logistics related processes associated with Defence acquisition, in accordance with guidance provided.

Contributing towards the resolution of logistics issues and challenges

Undertake, or assist with, logistics analysis in support of Defence acquisition

Providing guidance on logistics policy, procedures and best practise

Integrated into our established multi-disciplinary team.

Deliver services to customers that enhance QinetiQ’s reputation as a trusted provider and partner.

Demonstration of initiative and self-motivation.

Compliance with legislative, regulatory, QinetiQ Quality Management Systems, Employee Safety requirements.

To be successful for the role of ILS Consultant you will need:

Previous ILS experience working within Defence projects, Defence platform sustainment, or experience in industry supply chain management.

Knowledge of inventory management principles and optimisation.

Experience operating within a quality management system.

High quality work and attention to detail.

Previous experience working within complexed and collaborative team environments.

The ability to build strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and delivery partners.

Self-motivated and willing to learn new skills

Well-developed communication skills (written and verbal)

Integrity and high personal ethical standards that align with QinetiQ standards
