JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary

The Maintenance Service Technician II (MST II) will perform line maintenance which could include but not limited to in flight entertainment and connectivity (IFEC) systems to ensure aircraft and systems serviceability.

Main Responsibilities

  • Perform line maintenance under the Panasonic-issued authorisation privileges, airline-issued privileges, or the direct supervision of the certifying Maintenance Service Representative (MSR), Lead MSR, Supervisor or Manager, during transit checks
  • Troubleshooting system failures down to Line Replaceable Units (LRU), cabling, or other aircraft systems and perform functional tests post rectification
  • Perform cabin sweeps in accordance with contractual obligations of Panasonic Lime Maintenance Procedures and report findings
  • Perform transit and maintenance checks
  • Perform aircraft airframe, engine and systems defect rectification
  • Complete aircraft documentation in accordance with contractual obligations or other processes
  • Ensure timely escalation of any problem occurring in the aircraft in conjunction with Lead or Supervisor
  • Sign or certify for all work completed as applicable under a company-issued authority and governing regulations
  • Assist in the management of airside inventory, cycle counting, packaging and shipping of inventory

Requirements
  • Hold a Cat A/ B1 mechanic qualification with at least 24 months' experience on aircraft
  • Hold a secondary or technical school qualification
  • Have essential and related aircraft maintenance experience
  • Able to professionally and clearly communicate with customers (engineers, flight crew and colleagues)
  • Able to work in high-pressure environment and within time constraints without compromising the quality of work
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications including Work, Excel and Outlook. Linux is a plus!
  • A valid driver's license and passport, own transport will be advantageous
  • Able to work on a rotating 24/7 roster, which includes late nights, early mornings, public holidays and weekends
  • Have full working rights in Australia
