About The Role

The role of Design Manager - Rail Systems is to execute the responsibilities of Design Manager in accordance with the Quality Management System and particularly the following key responsibilities and accountabilities outlined below.

  • Prepare and maintain the Design Plan for the duration of the project,
  • Set up and administer the project design configuration management system,
  • Ensure that all elements of the design are coordinated between all design team members,
  • Ensure that all systems engineering and safety assurance deliverables to secure appropriate approvals have been well coordinated and completed.
About You
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline
  • Experienced gained in the rail, automotive, military, defence, avionics or any other safety critical environment
  • Strong communication skills (oral & written) including strong negotiation and influencing skills and the ability to establish effective working relationships with a variety of people at different levels both internally and externally.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently to organise and prioritise demands, handle multiple complex tasks simultaneously, set and meet deadlines and follow-through within a fast-paced environment with multiple and competing demands.
