The opportunity

Due to an exciting period of expansion and growth within our Change Portfolio, we are currently recruiting several Project Managers on a permanent, full-time basis. In this role, you will manage business related projects for Transformation by supporting the drive for continuous growth and continually creating the efficiency, scalable processes & controlled environment required for the success of Transformation. Other role responsibilities include:

  • Managing QBE projects and ensuring a focus on delivering to support QBE and department strategic objectives and delivering benefit to QBE
  • Support the implementation of the department strategy to enable delivery of overall business targets
  • Project planning using Microsoft Project and aligned with QBE project management
  • Managing vendors throughout the vendor lifecycle from appointment through to disengagement and regular performance management
  • Effective project risk and issue management
  • Working with the Project Management Office to schedule and resource projects balancing department’s demand and supply
  • Perform regular project management activities including tracking and intervention to ensure programs are delivered to scope, budget and schedule expectations.

What are we looking for?

  • A number of years’ experience as a Project Manager
  • Experience within an Agile working environment
  • A broad knowledge of SDLC, project management processes and project prioritisation, scheduling processes and tools is preferrable
  • Exposure to the Insurance or Financial Services industry is preferable
  • A keen team player, with effective communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Problem solving and negotiation skills
  • Self-management, able to work effectively on multiple initiatives and meet deadlines.
