Internal Auditor

Full time, $80,000-$100,000 plus superannuation

The Role  

Due to our rapid growth in recent years, FoodLink Australia is looking for an Internal Auditor who is independent, systematic and will add value and improve our organisation’s internal control environment.

We are looking for someone who has immaculate attention to detail, has business and commercial acumen, exceptional analytical skills and experience in risk. Reporting directly to upper management, you will be the contact point for all risk, control and compliance activities and will be responsible for providing status updates, reports and recommendations to management regarding internal controls for the business.

This excellent opportunity will be offered on a Permanent Full-Time basis at 38 hours a week.

The successful candidate must have:

  • Excellent English skills
  • The right to work in Australia
  • Bachelor degree in relevant field
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience
  • Team management skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Strong time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare and deliver audit reports and recommendations to management regarding effectiveness of internal control systems
  • Identify key risk management issues and provide and assist in implementing changes to rectify deficiencies within organisation’s operations
  • Be up-to-date with current legal and financial regulations and carry out continual reviews of internal systems to ensure compliance such as policies, reporting and systems
  • Exercise good commercial acumen and apply balanced and risk-based audit recommendations
  • Evaluate cost-effectiveness and shortfalls within business operations through analysing data and other information
