Job Description

Part of the Human Factors Team and reporting to the Manager Human Factors, the Aircrew Human Factors Instructor role involves planning, scheduling, developing, and delivering annual Aircrew and Medical Crew Human Factor training. To remain relevant, the successful pilot or aircrewman will be required to maintain operational flying recency through regular operational shifts.

The position will be involved with all aspects of Human Factors training delivered at The ACE Training Centre, including but not limited to:

  • Deliver aircrew/medical crew cyclic training, human factors initial training and bespoke medical human factors training to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Investigation of aviation and medical related safety reports as part of the integration between the HF Team and the Safety & Quality Department.
  • Assist the Human Factors Manager in developing and maintaining Toll’s HF program, as required in support of Toll’s flying contracts.
  • Ensure that the HF training programs meet all extant regulatory requirements particularly IAW Part 119 as well as contractual requirements for current and future contracts involving aircrew and/or medical crews.
  • Participate in the Safety Management System as a Subject Matter Expert including participation in the Fatigue Safety Action Group (FSAG), Safety Action Group (SAG) and any Safety meetings as required.
