About the role
We are currently looking for an Engineering Business Manager to join our team based in Brisbane in a permanent full time position. In this highly sought after role you will be key to improving the resource and workforce forecasting and coordination, engineering milestones and budget tracking within the Engineering department. This role also ensures that the business processes, tools and systems used to determine scheduling, resourcing and budgeting are as efficient as possible through a continuous improvement mindset and appropriate KPIs and reporting.
Specifically you will:

* Provide workload and resource management for the Engineering Department
* Ensure Functional Managers are aware and planning for forecast resource numbers and competencies.
* Develop strong business management KPIs and reporting metrics for the Engineering Department to drive a performance improvement culture.

About you
To be successful in this role, it is a requirement to be able to work in a team environment, have well developed relationship skills as well as good verbal and written skills. You will need to be someone who is able to work autonomously and to tight deadlines and work comfortably in a continuous improvement work environment. The skills and experience best suited to this role:

* 5 years' minimum experience in engineering, configuration and logistics management (including design and engineering management roles)
* Previous experience in Systems Engineering and/or Project Management
* Strong financial acumen and data processing abilities
* Ability to summarise, synthesise and speak authoritatively on complex topics to stakeholders at all levels
* Ability to develop and implement strategic and tactical plans
